Updates

Hello again, I have missed you! Not feeling in the best of moods just now, but more on that later, I promise.
I got hangers! Yay, but somehow there are still clothes on my bed and kitty loves them. Tee hee
Darling Finn is finally going to get fixed! I know right, it took them this long? They aught to be ashamed.
There are no more sweet potato fries to be had. We ate them all. Darn you universe!
I think I may try to post more story stuff while I am thinking up what next to share with you. That way you won't get so lonely when I am away for days on end.

Internetting

Things I should probably go do, or be doing now;

But instead I've been blog walking. Sadly I didn't find anything interesting to follow today. Sorry, I don't mean to say that the blogs I came across weren't interesting at all, they just weren't what I was looking for. At one point I hit about 20 or so in other languages, which is when I decided to stop for the day. So clearly I did not explode lastnight, but I didn't actually sleep right away either. O well, I'm still so excited about fixing up my blog. It certainly takes up time which for now is good because at least I am doing something that might one day prove beneficial to my work. Lest you think I am a lazy slob with minimal tallent and no ambition in life however, I have managed to do a few productive things today. I know it isn't exactly true that cleaning will make will make a person happy, but for me it goes a long way toward motivating me to be productive. I have a bunch of clothes that I can't really do anything with because they need to be hung up and I need to go buy hangers so for now I keep them on the end of my bed. I know, nice right? That way they could fall off and get dirty and or wrinkly. I've been meaning to do something about this like fined a better temp place for them or actually go out and get hangers, but roomy's cat has been using them as a kind of nest, and I have been using him as an excuse not to touch them. He is so happy curled up on my clothes, who am I to disturb him? So today I decided that I needed to go through them and find out which ones need to be bagged for laundry and which ones I just need hangers for. Then I cleaned the floor. I love making surfaces smooth and free of dust and dirt particles and especially stickiness! This kind of makes me sound like a neat freak, but I am not. I really just need things to be in some semblance of order, both for practical reasons and because it feels good to have clenliness. I have been known to let things go for awhile before it drives me nuts and I have to clean clean clean! So anyway, fixing my bed and surrounding area made me think of how much I want a headboard. Yes, someday soon I want a headboard and lots and lots of pillows! Then I can prop myself up when I write or something. Since I sometimes like to get writing done before I go to bed, It makes sense to me to be in bed when I write. Unfortunately I have very undisciplined posture though and with out a headboard I am not comfortable doing much other than laying in strange positions. At some point I ate food, and later I plan on doing laundry and writing some more. And this, my friends and followers, has been my Monday. So now I think I'm gonna go google random stuff and see what comes up. =D

But I Probably Should Get Over It

So I am excited and nervous andterrified and cold all at the same time! Whoa, yeah. I am excited because Roomy made banana bread and I have not had this in a very lonnnnnnnnggg time. Not that people don't often make banana bread; in fact, people make it all the time but I can never have any because they always see the need to put nuts in it. I am allergic to nuts, but only the real kind; treenuts they're called. If you don't understand that, what I mean is that peanuts are actually not nuts. They're Legumes and more related to beans. That's what they tell me anyway. But either way I am not allergic to them and that makes me happy because peanut allergies kind of scare me. I'm not really sure yet why I am nervous; maybe I'm putting the wrong name to it. Terrified. I am terrified because I do not like to be alone with so much quiet. Sometimes I will just sit on my bed trying to listen as hard as I can for any unusual sounds so that I can sprint out the window or something. I'm not really sure where I'd go though--that is if I didn't break my leg first. This is why I need a big tough dog to be a better pare of eyes and ears and alert me to any possible danger, in addition to my padlocks and awesome alarm sistem when I live on my own. I especially hate having to run water because I can't hear over it so I tend to try to run it as low as I possibly can. I wish I had friends I could call or ask to stay over when this happens, but I'm always afraid people are busy and I don't want to bother them because I am a wimp and can't stay in my own house alone for long periods of time. I think probably I'd get a shepherd, or maybe a mastiff; something big so I can hide behind him and have him attack strangers. The big cat was just sitting on my bed with me--he's the male. He seems to be very sensitive to emotions and probably can tell that I am a bit freaked out. But I've got the whole weekend to myself and I intend to make the best of it! I'll probably get more freaked out though as the night grows old. No matter how many times this happens I still can't quite get over the feeling, and putting on loud happy music doesn't really help either because again, I can't hear. Well, it's winter here so I'd say it's fairly obvious why I'm cold. Toodles! wish me safety.

Because I Smile When I Am Happy

No, I am not up super early, in fact I haven't slept yet. I wanted to finish up some things so I could sleep freely. It took longer than I expected and I wasn't going to blog any, but my book isn't done transfering so here I am. =D
Tonight and this morning I am thinking happy thoughts and lovely things so here are some lovely thoughts for you. I find that there is something truly awesome about holding another living being. It's one thing to see them walk, talk, moo, hiss, pur ect. but when you touch another living being, even as small as my tiny leopard gecko Joei, you can feel their life.
I love to hold cats or dogs or lizards and feel their tiny heart beats and the rhythm of their breathing; it's comforting somehow. And let's don't forget hugs.
Here, only real hugs count. While side hugs may be appropriate in some circumstances, they are not real hugs and do not make a connection. Perhaps that is part of why I am such a cuddlebug; I am comforted by that feeling of life.
So cheers to life and living! ... and the hugs ;)

While The Ipod Charges

Sittin here ... waitin ... my ipod is taking forever to charge! Tonight I watched a funny youtube video my friend sent me and I laughed so hard it started up my cough. Then My roomies got concerned, but I was ok for the most part. Hee, then things got a bit silly and there was much laughter and joking. Yes, my mom finally came on Saturday, and she brought me chocolate oranges! Who's a happy happy smily girl now? =D She used to put them in my stocking at Christmas time. I don't often find them, but holidays remind me of their wonderfulness. I want a chocolate orange tree! And while I am on the topic of things chocolate, I now have a craving for chocolate strawberries! Thanks to a comment by my Love Muffin. Thanks for that you. Um, These cats are crazy? ... Or at least the male is ... he's running around playing with air currents or something. I kinda wonder if there's some imaginary monster he's running from because of whatever happened to him before he came to live here, or if he sees ghosts. Whatever it is, he does it a lot! Well, it's getting late and I must away to my sleep simulation pod; plus my ipod is done charging. =D TTFN!

The Place To Be

So the cats have apparently decided that my bed is the place to be so i suppose i am in a kind of war for it with them. I guess as long as I'm not sick or inclined to stay in bed all day we could work out an arangement hee.
Right now I am just chillin' on the couch listening to the bird chat away. I think i definitely have to live somewhere where it snows. I'm not personally considering leaving my home state now, but should I end up moving in future, I'd like it to be somewhere that has all four seasons. *sigh* i so love Winter.

Domestic Fun

I am rooming with two friends from college! So far it has been wonderful, but it's only for a little bit. I wish i could be here longer. They've got two cats and a bird. I really can't wait for the snow!! I really don't know that I can express to you my feelings about this season. Not that i do anything ritualistic or anything like that; I just enjoy it. and an made terribly terribly sad by it. More later. =D

Reguarding The Cat

Did I tell you about my professor's cat? I guess I probably havent, but it's kind of funny. So she has three hamsters, one guinae pig (i always forget how that is spelled) and one hairless rat--who is a sweetheart and don't you dare mock him--. And then she got a cat to get rid of mice. lols I love my profs
From what I hear the cat--i will call him sandman--does quite well with the others. They have to be careful of course when the rodents have play time. Anyway though, the cat. I really love him; he is like the best thing eve!
Not this past weekend, but the one before I visited my old campus grounds to play a game of bigger-better (more about that later perhaps) and also to be there for the anual halloween reading. So I crashed on my prof's couch bed over the weekend. I got to spend all kinds of quality time with the little sandman.
Now, I love animals anyway and especially cats and dogs so I was excited to get to know the cat better. I think he really enjoyed my company. He came when I called him and he kept coming to curl against me while he groomed himself.
I got to see him again this Saturday while i was hanging out with some friends. Really, he is just an awesome cat. And he is black and white which is one of my favorite cat colors. =D

Boiling Ideas

O my gosh I know what I want to make next. Well actually I've got a nice piece of black fur that I'm trying to decide whether to make a cat or a scunk with. I am leaning toward scunk since I've made cats before and already have a black one. All this however, is beside the point. I've got a new idea and it just now hit me. Because it's so hot and I don't have AC I've been keeping my windows open and can hear all the crickets. Then it hit me, I want to make a stuffed cricket! I've never made a stuffed bug before and it could be fun to try. The best part would be if I could get it to chirp. I do have cricket sound effects on my computer, but short of recording it--which would probably make for horrible sound quality--I wouldn't know how to get it on to a button. Well, I can worry about all that later, as I am not even sure I have all the right matterials yet. Other than that, there hasn't been much to report of late. have a nice night, and listen to the crickets when you go outside!

Sleep Sleep And More Sleep

I've mentioned before how much my sleep schedule has been thrown off this summer. It's strange because I can't seem to right myself. I could not sleep at all one night, be up all day doing some sort of activity then get back to my room and sleepfor a little bit, then still be tired the next day. So then of course the cycle never get's righted.
*sigh* So I am of course up trying to find things to do while the rest of the world is sleeping. I tried watching old movies, but I couldn't find very many online and I can't watch DVDs. During the day however, I have no problem at all sleeping. In fact, sometimes I feel like an olympic sleeper. lol Not sure I could get a metal for it though. But even then my sleep is broken up in to segments and I can't sleep for more than two hours with out waking up, however briefly, in between.
I really must find something to keep me awake during the day, or else find something other than reading to pass the time at night. O when will it end, when will it end?
***In other news, designer cats are quite fascinating. And I'm really not sure how I feel about this Anne Baker lady who seems to have had a hand in some of them.

Small Dreams And Fantom Things

I have of late, been wanting to adopt a little orange and white kitten and name him Monstro. I don't know why this is, but every once in awhile I like to look up dog breeds on the AKC website and imagine what I would name a particular kind. I want each and every one of them, but realize that I could not possiblly take care of that many dogs responsibly. So instead of coming home with me, in the fur if you will, they float around in my mind and sometimes they go into my stories. Or sometimes they become stuffed animals. It is very possible that little Monstro will end up in some story somewhere. Hmm, I wonder what's in store for our fearless little kitten. Well, perhaps you should stay tune for what happens.
O yes and I've finally gotten around to getting a picture up.That's Eddie and I. I wish I had a better case for him. Happy dreaming.

Sun Patch

Today I found a patch of sun while I was walking across the living room floor. Naturally I curled up and lay in it; soking up my vitamin D. It made me think of cats and dogs and how it must feel to have the sun warm their fur. My sun patch moved, more's the pitty, but I'm still warm from it. No wonder cats spend so much of their time lying in the sun. I think i want to write something on that subject. Hmm, I wonder should I make a cat now or something else? I've sewn cats before, but I've always wanted to make one with stripes or spots. Guess it depends on what fur I have in my bin right now. I'll try and put the pic here ifI end up making it.
